Nice try Mr. Wasp. Nice try…
Thanks. I hate this.
That's coral. Or more accurately, the calcium carbonate secreted coral.
I found something in the arkansas River that is pretty much the same pictured here. I figured volcanic?
If you sent a picture I might be able to identify it, but I'm guessing you found fossilized coral.
Yeah after I thought about it, and where I found it,I think you're right. At least I know where to find a bunch of it. Added a couple pieces to my "cool rock" collection.
There's a hidden beach near Kona, sea kayak access only, comprised solely of pumice gravel and rocks, worn smooth, no sand. Surreal, as you walk along it, every step you sink past your ankles, lower calf deep.
Half an hour wandering there, and you realize it's actually been micro-bruising you all along, and it becomes uncomfortable. Still, well worth the inconvenience, never seen another like it anywhere.
What kind of rock is it
I’m not sure
That’s just a dead coral
That kind of makes me annoyed.
I dunno to be honest. It just wants me to fill it up with cement. I might be crazy
[Trypophobia](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trypophobia) most likely
Did you find it near a road or where people drive? If so I believe that's the honeycomb that's from inside a catalytic converter.
I found it in some rocks alongside my driveway
Yeah someone's vehicle is going to be idleing a lil rough and needs some attention
I live by the Falls of the Ohio in Indiana. These type of fossils, called "wasp nest coral," are common here. They're from the Devonian period.
Trypophobia fuck lol
My wife and her sister both have this—this pic would really disturb them! I never knew that phobia was a thing before met my wife.
Does r/tripophobia exist?
Yes it does.
